When staff were in the office, they could physically go to someone to ask them to do something. When they were at home, we needed a fair solution that could be implemented.

A Free Style step was used that could be inserted in a dedicated Agenda in a Matter, once activated this entered the request into a queue.

On the intranet we had a page where Legal Assistants could go and take the next job. This was anonymous, except it would be a from a Fee Earner in a department they served. This meant that work was dealt with in request order.

Once taken the Fee Earner could see who had taken it and communicate any special needs, if not already explained.
